ICA Cancellation Policy
Membership & league refund policy
- Before league play starts: 100% refund
- Within the first 6 weeks of league play: 50% refund
- After 6 weeks of league play: no refund
If the club is closed for an extended time for unforeseen circumstances, we’ll consider a prorated refund for members.
Bonspiel refund policy
Organizing a bonspiel takes considerable planning, effort, and upfront costs. We incur many costs ahead of time—planning and ordering food and beverages and other participant costs. With this in mind, all refunds for credit card payments are subject to a 5% processing fee that will be subtracted from any refund amount. This is a general refund policy and the actual refund (more or less) will be at the full discretion of the Itasca Curling Association Board of Directors.
A full refund will be granted if cancellation occurs more than 8 weeks prior to the event OR within 24 hours of registration provided the bonspiel is more than 1 week away. ICA doesn’t offer refunds if cancellation occurs within a 7 days of the bonspiel start.
Refund schedule guidelines
- More than 8 weeks: 100% refund
- Less than 8 weeks: 50% refund
- Less than 1 week: no refunds
If you were going to bring your entry fee to the club on the day of the spiel and need to cancel, we ask that you respect our policy and our efforts and send us the money for your cancelled registration. If you don’t follow our policy, you may not be able to register for future bonspiels.
Refund request process
To request a refund, email the Itasca Curling Club Board of Directors at board@itascacurling.com. Please include your reason for your request. The board typically meets once a month and will give you a decision as soon as possible. The decision will be final.
